Can traditional banks survive the tech-giants taking them? Can they find a way to collaborate or co-exist? In emerging economies tech giants are filling the void of banks to serve the underbanked with apps on smartphones. WeChat (Tencent) and Alipay dominate in China and theirsuccess has seen cash nearly disappear. Apple, Facebook and Google and even Uber have started financial services. Will they further integrate insurance, loans, payments and stock trading in their platforms?
